Hammerin’ in the Hills Our regional volunteer program, Hammerin’ in the Hills, gives people from across the country the opportunity to change lives. Whether volunteering for a whole week or just a long weekend, volunteers young and old will work side by side with HDA carpenters to help an Appalachian family have a warm, safe and affordable place to live. See the Hammerin’ in the Hills tab above for more information. We also welcome local volunteers to contribute to our projects. Local volunteers can volunteer alone or as part of a larger group for projects ranging from one day to a week or more. To volunteer, contact Volunteer Coordinator.
