New Home Construction
The Housing Development Alliance is able to finance and construct new homes for low income households in and around Perry County. Interested persons can e-mail Pam Short or call (606) 436-0497 for pre-qualification. Pam will review your income, monthly debt load, and credit history to determine if you appear eligible for our program. Clients that do not appear to be eligible will receive Housing Counseling so that they can work towards owning their own home.
Houses are typically 3 bedroom, 1 or 2 bathroom with vinyl siding, and a shingle roof. Our full time carpentry crews build each home to meet or exceed current code. Each homebuyer can select from a range of floor plans, and select colors for the finished house. Most are single story homes, that range in size from 1,000 to 1,150 sq. ft, with an 8 foot by 16 foot front porch and a small stoop for a second exit. Each plan can be customized to your needs including making the home fully wheelchair accessible (ADA compliant).
For more information please contact Pam Short or call (606) 436-0497.

“I’m doing this for my girls,” Chasity says. “Once I become a homeowner, I know that my girls will have a place no matter what happens to me.” Outside her work as a Secretary for the Circuit Judge, she spends most of her time with her girls. “After I move in to my home, I want to further my education, continue my work at the courthouse, and keep my girls as the center of my life.”
