Rental Opportunities High Street Housing
High Street Housing is a 10-unit single room occupancy (SRO) apartment building which provides permanent affordable rental housing to formerly homeless people who have successfully participated in homeless services through Hazard Perry County Community Ministries. Completed in 1999, High Street Housing is comprised of efficiency apartments, each with a private bath and a kitchenette. Located in downtown Hazard, High Street Housing offers a convenient location as well as the option of retaining support services through Community Ministries’ case managers. Rent includes essential utilities and is subsidized according to each tenant’s income through Kentucky Housing Corporation's offices in West Liberty, Kentucky. Tenants pay either 30% of their monthly income or $50, whichever is greater.
