Why Volunteer with the Housing Development Alliance?

Whether you are a local community member or one of the many groups across the nation that volunteer with our regional volunteer program, Hammerin' In the Hills, your contribution as a volunteer is vital to the good work we do every day.  By helping build and repair homes for low-income families, you help us extend our resources to serve even more families in need of affordable housing assistance.
Volunteers also provide us with a crucial source of local matching dollars when applying for state and federal grants.  We are allowed to count the cash value of the work done by volunteers as matching funds when competing for funding.  By increasing the amount of matching funds for the Housing Development Alliance, volunteers greatly increase our ability to compete for funding.
